✨ The Magic of Fairy Portraits
Ever wonder how those enchanting fairy portraits come to life? Here at Studio Q Photography, it’s more than just a photo session—it’s an unforgettable experience where imagination takes center stage and your child becomes the star of their very own fairytale.
The Fairy Wardrobe
Every session begins in the fairy closet! I have a curated collection of handmade wings, flower crowns, and whimsical dresses in a range of sizes. I’ll help your little one pick the perfect outfit that makes them feel magical from the moment they slip it on.
Set the Scene
The studio transforms into an enchanted forest, complete with a pond, a mushroom to sit on, a soft, dreamy backdrop, and fairy magic. Everything is styled to spark wonder and capture timeless storybook charm. I guide each child with simple, playful prompts so their expressions stay joyful and natural.
Capturing the Magic
This is where the magic really happens. With gentle direction and plenty of silly fairy jokes, I capture a variety of poses and moments—whether they’re twirling, whispering secrets to a flying fairy, or just gazing dreamily into the light. The goal is to preserve not just how they look, but how they feel in this moment of wonder.
The Artistry
After your session, I hand-edit each image with care and creativity. Wings are enhanced, sparkles are added, and backgrounds are gently painted with light and whimsy. This is where each portrait becomes a true work of art—something worthy of being framed, treasured, and passed down.
A Fairytale Ending
During your ordering appointment, you'll see the magic unfold. From fine art prints and heirloom albums to wall-worthy canvases, I help you choose pieces that will bring the enchantment of this experience into your home for years to come.
I offer Fairy Portrait Day a couple of times a year. To be one of the first notified when the next Fairy Portrait Day is, sign up for my newsletter!
Why I Love Photography
A while ago, I watched the documentary The Way I See It—and OMG. It was powerful, emotional, and deeply moving. It reminded me just how important this work really is.
I mean, I know that... but in the busy day-to-day of running a business, it’s easy to lose sight of the deeper “why.” Photography isn’t just about pretty pictures. It’s about capturing a fleeting moment—one that might otherwise be forgotten. It’s about preserving a piece of now, not just for ourselves, but for our families and for the generations that come after us.
These moments matter. They’re ours to hold onto, and to pass forward.
Don’t ever forget that.

Some common questions answered for you.
Why did you change your name from Fraley Photography to Studio Q Photography?
It’s a long story, but here’s the short version: I originally named my business after my last name because I thought that’s what you were supposed to do. Over time, I considered changing it—it never felt very creative—but I stuck with it because people knew me as Fraley Photography. Then I realized… why not change it? So I did. The idea came quickly: first a tagline, Live Long In Portraits, then the name—Studio Q Photography. It was available, and I loved it. And yes, the “Q” is a little nod to Star Trek 🖖🏻
Booking & Availability
How do I book and how far in advance?
Booking is easy — just pay the session fee at booking to hold your date. Sessions often fill quickly (especially senior deadlines and peak seasons), so it’s best to book early.
What’s included and how much does it cost?
The session fee covers planning, your photo session, editing, and a viewing appointment. Prints, albums, and digitals are purchased separately. Most families invest $600–$2,500 in finished artwork, with packages and à la carte options for all budgets.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes — PayPal Credit, Afterpay, or custom studio plans are available at your ordering appointment.
Where do sessions take place?
In-studio in Vancouver, WA, or on-location around Clark County (parks, rivers, or urban spots). I’ll help you choose the best fit.
Prep & What to Expect
What should we wear and do to prepare?
Stick to coordinated (not matchy) outfits with solids, textures, or subtle patterns; avoid neon and logos. Arrive early, bring water/snacks, and remove chipped polish or temporary tattoos. You’ll also receive a style guide after booking.
Do you help with hair, makeup, or special needs?
For seniors, I can recommend or arrange hair & makeup. I also accommodate shy kids or sensory needs by keeping sessions calm, flexible, and following their lead — just let me know what helps.
Session Day
How long does it last, and what if something comes up?
Most sessions run about an hour. If the weather is stormy, we’ll reschedule (overcast is great for photos). If someone is sick, let me know and we’ll pick the next available date.
Viewing, Ordering & Investment
When do we see our photos and place an order?
About 2–3 weeks after your session, you’ll come in for a viewing/ordering appointment — no minimums, no pressure, just buy what you love.
How and when will we get our order?
Finished artwork is typically ready in 4–8 weeks. Local clients pick up at the studio; out-of-town orders can be shipped insured for an additional fee.
